High point of Carnival in Belo Horizonte , the street blocks attract thousands of revelers every year to the capital of Minas Gerais. In 2024, 536 blocks will participate in the festivities, according to data from the Belo Horizonte Municipal Tourism Company (Belotur). Distributed in neighborhoods such as Centro, Santa Amélia, Santa Tereza, Savassi and Floresta, the electric trios guarantee the holiday excitement, starting this Friday (9).

There are options for all tastes and styles, from children’s blocks to the megablocks that draw crowds through the streets of BH. Complete program – BH Street Blocks

The Carnival holiday in BH began this Friday, with Bloco do Didi, at 1 pm, in the Vista Alegre neighborhood. The first day’s programming also includes the blocks Álibe, da Sol, Os Meninos da Meia-Noite, Passa Lá no RH and Me Chama Que Eu Vou, Sexta, Nobody Sabe?, Viaduto Trance, Intervalo, WS Elétrico, Afro- Periférico Orisamba, Diabas de Luneta, Roda de Timbau, Espeto na Veia, Os Camisa Velha, Baião de Rua and Fúnebre.

On Saturday, the festivities begin at 5am, with the So Brilha street block gathering in the center. The last parade of the day will be from the As Benzedeiras block, at 6pm, in Glória. Sunday’s program also starts very early, at 7am, with the Pena de Pavão de Krishna block, which will run along Avenida José Cândido da Silveira. With several street blocks in various neighborhoods of the city, Sunday promises to be one of the busiest days of Carnival 2024 in Belo Horizonte.
